Understanding Psychoses
Schizophrenia is the most common psychosis which is characterised by delusions & hallucinations. This half-day course will increase your confidence in developing a therapeutic relationship with people who can be difficult to engage. It will also develop your skills & knowledge to be able to make a positive contribution to the lives of those affected.
Aims
 Explore the nature of psychosis
 Discuss the psychological treatments for schizophrenia
 Evaluate current forms of treatment for psychosis

 State the causes of organic psychosis
 Assess signs & symptoms of psychosis
