Person Centred Dementia Care

Person-centred support is based on the individual not the illness. It respects people’s choices, enhances their dignity and adds extra value to people’s lives. Person-centred care is applicable to most care sectors but this 3 hour course is based on the requirements of Common Induction Standard 7 which is centred on dementia care. The course enables participants to understand the importance of seeing people as unique individuals who require unique interventions designed to meet their unique needs.
