Recent case law has shown that a lack of Physical Intervention training could leave staff and employers at risk of harm, prosecution and substantial compensation claims. Physical intervention skills may be needed in some workplaces to manage challenging behaviour safely. Our physical intervention skills are based on natural movements that do not rely on strength or aggression. This is a one day course that explores the law regarding physical intervention and teaches staff disengagement and defence techniques for varying risk levels. The techniques are currently being taught to various personnel working within the NHS, residential & nursing homes, schools, retail establishments, and other organisations.
