It is estimated that 80,000 people have pernicious anaemia. Treatment, with vitamin B12, is usually straight forward, but many people miss out on it because they often put their symptoms down to old age and don’t present themselves for examination. This half-day course will help you identify those people earlier and provide them with information that may facilitate an earlier diagnosis. This course also examines other common types of anaemia such as those caused through iron deficiency and folic acid.
